TRIP ITINERARY:
Day 1 – Arrive Luanda. Lunch. Scheduled flight to Cabinda (45 mins).
Arrive in Cabinda on evening of day 1.
Transfer to Futila Beach Resort. Overnight.
Day 2 – 4x4 transfer north to Lake Massabi, and Skimmer Island Camp. Arrive by 10 AM
Day 2 to 7 – Fishing and overnight, Skimmer Island Camp.
Day 7 – 4x4 transfer back to Cabinda Airport, for flight to Luanda.
Overnight Luanda hotel (if required).
Day 8 – Flight out of Luanda...

IMPORTANT TRIP INFO
PASSPORTS:
All visitors are required to have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity. Visas are not required for all members of the SADEC, as well as G20 Members states. However, it is always best to check with the Angolan embassy or consulate in your country to confirm the latest visa requirements.
INOCULATIONS & HEALTH:
A valid yellow fever inoculation is required.
Additionally, Angola and Cabinda are malaria areas, so it is important to consult with your doctor before traveling and take necessary precautions.
COMMUNICATION:
While there is sporadic cell phone reception at Skimmer, guests can stay connected with the outside world through Wi-Fi, which is available in the lodge.
CURRENCY:
Angolan Kwanza – Foreign currencies (UK/Euro/USD) are widely accepted and can be used to settle bar accounts, etc. in camp. The Kwanza - USD exchange rate is fixed at 930:1 at time of writing.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
INSURANCE
Comprehensive travel, medical, baggage, money and cancellation insurance is a compulsory requirement when booking a trip with Skimmer. This is the clients' own responsibility.
MEDICAL EVACUTATION
Another imperative requirement, that all clients have adequate traveland medical insurance that includes medical evacuation should you get injured whilst travelling with us. We can recommend a suitable agency, on request.
CANCELLATION PROCEDURE
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due within 10 days of booking for all trip packages and reservations.
Final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Trip cancellations must be received in writing.
Both deposits and final payments are non-refundable, unless that trip for those dates are resold by Skimmer or an agent. In the case of Skimmer or agent reselling the week, a full refund will be sent minus a 10% per person cancellation fee.
In the case of cancellation by the client, both deposit and final payment may be transferred to another guest or angler for those same (original) dates if facilitated and arranged by the client.
If no replacement is found, the following cancellation terms will apply:
For cancellations outside of 180 days from the start of trip date, a 90% credit (will be issued for a trip to be rescheduled within one year from original trip date).
For cancellations made 179 to 90 days from the start of trip date, a 50% credit (will be issued for a trip to be rescheduled within one year from original trip date).
For cancellations inside of 90 days from arrival date, all payments will be forfeited, and no credit will be issued.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS OBTAINED WITH YOUR TRAVEL INSURANCE POLICY AT TIME OF BOOKING NB - IT IS COMPULSORY FOR CLIENTS TO HAVE COMPREHENSIVE TRAVEL/MEDICAL INSURANCE PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.FORCE MAJEUREIn the event of Force Majeure, defined as any unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the lodge, including but not limited to natural disasters (such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes), political instability, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, governmental regulations, or pandemics, the lodge shall be excused from any obligations or liabilities arising under this agreement for the duration and to the extent of such Force Majeure event. During a Force Majeure event, the lodge will make reasonable efforts to mitigate disruptions to the extent feasible. However, it is agreed that clients' reservations affected by Force Majeure shall be held in abeyance for a period of 24 months from the original date of reservation. Clients will have the option to reschedule their stay within this extended 24-month period, subject to availability, without incurring any additional fees or penalties. If the reservation cannot be accommodated within this timeframe due to ongoing Force Majeure circumstances, a full refund of any deposits or payments made will be provided. Both parties agree to communicate promptly and in good faith regarding any Force Majeure event and its impact on reservations. This clause shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Cabinda, Angola, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this clause shall be resolved through amicable negotiation between the parties.
